Emerging Technologies for Peripheral Interventions: Device Selection, Technical Approach and Clinical Outcomes
This webcast will focus on the challenge of treating vascular occlusions or aneurysms in the peripheral arteries, where lesion complexity and anatomical considerations dictate device selection. Discussion will focus on areas critical to gaining insight and competence in endovascular disease. Pathological features of peripheral atherosclerotic disease will be reviewed.
Cases will be presented to illustrate various endovascular approaches, including SFA lesions, below-the-knee intervention, reentry devices, calcium ablation, and the utilization of drug-coated balloon technology as well as atherectomy and drug-eluting stents. Cost-benefit data also will be discussed in the setting of multiple device use.

This activity is intended for cardiologists, interventional cardiologists primary care physicians, endocrinologists and other healthcare practitioners involved in the management of patients with peripheral arterial disease.
The goal of this activity is to provide an update on endovascular techniques which prevent the need for amputations in patients with PAD.
